Annddd it's Diwali time! I absolutely love the latter half of the year, it gives you immense scope to play around with a wide variety of fabrics and also to shop for Indian outfits! I am a huge sucker for rich colours and minimalistic prints or embellishments. And this season is the best time of the year to truly get to know your taste. Do you like bold, vibrant prints or a subtle shade of cream, beige with a rich texture to it? The kind of variety available to us, be it online or through physically shopping in stores, is so over the top. It can make your head dizzy! Haha!
I decided to put together an outfit with Max Fashion using their fusion festive line. The best part about these collections is the liberty they offer in terms of a total mix and match. I can pick whichever kurta I desire and still pair it up with a completely different pair of leggings or a palazzo to change things a little bit and not stick to the conventional separates. So I chose a festive Anarkali which is quite subtle and can be easily worn for a Diwali lunch as well. I especially loved the minimal embroidery on the Anarkali that adheres massively to the classy look. Versatility says a lot about a piece and this one can serve multiple occasions. I then picked out the royal blue palazzo pants instead of leggings; you can even wear denims underneath the Anarkali for a typical indo-western look. The combination of cream and the rich blue shade is something that I really adore. It makes the outfit classy and still keeps it incredibly subtle. The Palazzos have some intricate gold embellishments on it which go well with the Anarkali and completes the outfit.
All you have to do to take this to the next level is to put on some chunky jewellery and you are good to go. Add Jhumkas or a choker or chunky rings. Sky blue Jutis are the final touch. Festive is all about having fun with colours, playing around with fabrics and adding a pop of colour to your outfit. That gives it the edge it needs and makes it bolder and vibrant, just like every festival that we celebrate. I had crazy fun putting together this look and crazier fun at the shoot. Go to the Max Fashion store or simply go online and take a look at their funky festive collection #endlesswaytocelebrate Enjoy the pictures and tell me how you found my look xx
