Hi Guys! How have you been? I have been a huge fan of cartoon characters and playing ode to this versatile, new collection ‘MICKEY IN JAPAN’ by Vero Moda is our childhood hero at its centre! Our favourite character and anthropomorphic mascot Mickey Mouse is back in action and ready to give us some major style inspiration! Back from his exotic vacation in Japan, this is one collection that has never been done before! Taking inspiration from his experiences and the souvenirs he collected from traditional Japanese script and origami art, Vero Moda has based the outfits on his exotic travel and journey. Pieces like kimonos, wrap fronts embroidered motifs and bold mickey motifs are a few details that have been used in the outfits.
So when I had to style an outfit from this vibrant new collection, I decided to go for a very minimal and chic look. Japanese fashion and even the architecture is something that is not extremely over the top and is usually subtle but yet gives impact. I chose this spaghetti dress with an abstract of Mickey Mouse and has a fun geometric aesthetic. Monochrome is something I usually love but added some colour to this look by accessorising it. I am someone who loves to accentuate my waist and the belt cinched at the waist does just that. I decided to go for some light layering because of this weather by adding this breezy trench to dress it up which also makes it look edgy. What do you guys think of the styling? Do tell me through your comments. And check out their whole collection here.
